My brother was there at The Arrow Head Casino when the suspect was caught. He saw the police forcibly take the child because Charles wouldn't release him. Two policemen were struggling to subdue the accused, but were unable to budge him due to his size and the situation. My brother intervened and took "Chuck" to the ground via full nelson. He then wrestled the arm of the accused behind his back so that the police could work together to cuff him.
He further states that Charles wouldn't stand so they (the 2 police and my brother, Jason Poirrier, Cape Giradeau MO, truck driver, husband and father)had to use brawn to pull him from the ground. The 3 then worked together to carry the suspect upright to the police cruiser. Mr. Remacle was saying he wanted his child repeatedly, my brother advised him to just stop that it wasn't helping his situation.
When it was time for Charles to enter the police car, he wouldn't do it willingly, he was then put in by police.
Jason was thanked by Officer David Williams and his partner, and asked to stick around and make a statement.
I am obviously very proud of my brother, he didn't know the situation when he intervened, he simply saw 2 policemen struggling with Mr. Remacle and the possiblity of someone being shot and possibly hurt.

IT IS ABOUT TIME SOMEONE STOOD UP AND HELPED THESE OFFICERS. hE SHOULD BE AWARDED A MEDAL OF HONOR AS A GOOD CITIZEN. YES! HE MIGHT HAVE JUST KEPT THESE OFFICERS FROM BEING HURT OR EVEN SHOT. WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOU JASON !
