WOW! Some of that is cloud, some of that is ash. The colors over the lake make it beautiful.

I am from Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, probably 4 or 5 miles from where that photo was taken. I go to school at the UofI in Moscow. Though that is Mt. Redoubt erupting, this photo was taken the in 1990-91 winter and not the recent eruption.

I agree....this is an old photo taken from years ago. I was in Alaska when the mountain blew its top the first time in the early 80's. Im from Wasilla AK. It covered the area with inches of fine ash. The body of water in the foreground is not a lake.
