My son, his wife and kids are stationed at Marine Corps Base Twentynine Palms CA. A few months ago we decided to go visit them and all of us take a drive over to the Grand Canyon.It is a 6 hour drive from the base to the canyon and I watched the weather for a couple of weeks, storm after storm hitting the park!! I thought for sure we were going to be driving on horrible roads and probably would'nt even be able to see into the canyon!!The pictures really do not do it justice!! And it is spooky when you look over the edge there was this strong updraft that took your breath away!! We had the best time and it is an amazing place!!
