The 3Rivers Amateur Radio Club participated in the national ARRL Field Day emergency communications exercise on June 23 and 24. The club set up 3 radio operating positions at McComas Meadow approx 15 miles east of Grangeville. Using battery and solar power, the club was able to contact 204 other stations in 38 states. Additional contacts were made with stations in Europe and Japan.
