Amateur Radio Field Day in Nezperce

The 3 Rivers Amateur Radio Club participated in a USA and Canada wide emergency 24 hour communications exercise on June 25 and June 26.
Every year on the 4th weekend in June, 30000 to 40000 "Hams" from the USA and Canada set up stations in temporary locations using emergency power and temporary antennas to see how many other stations can be contacted in a 24 hours. The 3 Rivers ARC contacted 203 other stations in 37 states and 3 Canadian Provinces. Batteries and Solar Panels powered the radios. They even made a contact with Alberta, Canada with a handheld radio through a Ham Radio Satellite.
