Rainbow Dome 6 22 2011

Rainbow Storm

We were watching the big storm tonight (lightening, winds, clouds, etc.) and towards the end, a huge rainbow began to develop in the SE sky. Before we knew it, it was a full rainbow cover the entire eastern sky. Then another rainbow developed over top of the first one. 15 minutes later, blue skies and pink clouds marked the end of a serious storm with lots of lightening, frightening winds, and a little rain (at least at our place in SE Lewiston Orchards). At one point, the "rainbow dome" looked like a big rosey pink planet in the distance.
