At five o clock today in Cottonwood Idaho what appeared to be a funnel cloud formed on the north side of town. This happened in the middle of a severe thunderstorm. It possibly touched down and remained in view for ten minutes. The funnel cloud has since vanished but rain, winds, and lightning continue unabated. This is the only funnel cloud seen in Cottonwood in recent memory. This is a strange occurrence especially considering it is homecoming night for the Prairie Pirates.
