Weisner says beating West Valley is highlight of her career

Jamie Weisner.

CLARKSTON, WA - Jamie Weisner, a senior with the Clarkston High School girls basketball team, began her career with the Bantams a little different then most. She transferred from Walla Wall after her sophomore year. She said the transition was difficult at first, but good in the end.

"It was difficult just because I was leaving all my friends," said Weisner. "Also it was a good transition, everyone welcomed me once I got here."

In her first season with the Bantams, Jamie said her and her teammates experienced what she calls one of the highlights of her career.

"Beating West Valley in the district championship," said Weisner. "We played a really good game and it was pretty intense. We won districts so it was good."

In her final season Jamie said that she wants the Bantams to win all their games, including the state tournament. She said to achieve their goal, it will have to be a team effort.

"It definitely can't be on one persons back," said Weisner. "We have to work well as a team. That's how teams win, playing together."
