KENDRICK, ID - Carli Taylor is a sophomore basketball player at Kendrick High School and like a lot of other smaller schools, her and her teammates, play more sports then just basketball.

Carli said through it all, the team has a very strong bond.

"We play as a team." said Taylor. "Sometimes we're not the best but we play really well as a team together, so it's fun."

Now as a sophomore, you might expect Carli to be playing on the JV squad, which is not the case. While she is not the only underclassman on the team, Carli says their bond as a team helps her get past the nerves.

"It's a little nerve racking sometimes." said Taylor. "We have the three seniors, and then we have a freshman post so on both of us it's a little scary. But because we're all so close it's not too much of a hassle."

Carli said they've experienced the ups and downs that come from losing their top four scorers from the year before. But as the post season nears, Carli says the teams goal is to send this year's seniors out with the best season possible.

"We really want to work hard and put out the best season for them and to kind of go out with a bang." said Taylor. "Even if we don't go very far, just play as hard as we can."
