Chase Druffel, Colton High School
By Jay TustIt's not often anyone other that a senior receives out Taco John's Prep Athlete of the Week. After totaling over 180 yards and three touchdowns in a win verus St. John-Endicott last Friday night, we make the exception this week for Colton's junior wide receiver, Chase Druffel. As a sophomore, Chase Druffel didn't get much of an opportunity to play last year. With former Wildcat Ryan Troy now graduated, his role with the team has increased and he's honored to have opportunity. Chase put himself in this position, by getting ahead over the last year. Now, as a full-time two-way player, there's not question which side of the ball he likes more. Despite totaling over 300 yards in his first two games this season, Chase doesn't let his success of the field, affect his success in the class room. Determined to correct all of last year's wrongs, Chase said how last year finished, has only given him added motivation to end this year right. |
