LAPWAI, ID - Ron Williamson is a junior linebacker for the Lapwai Wildcats. He plays with a lot of heart, keeps his teammates motivated, and plays aggressively while maintaining good sportsmanship. Ron gives a lot to his team and he said the team gives right back.

"Playing football here is a pretty good opportunity, glad to play with the guys, could do better but its great, it's there, it's great," said Williamson.

It takes up a lot of time for a student to practice hard and study harder. But with what time Ron has left over he likes to give back to the community in Lapwai.

"I help paint churches, got a little bit of work at city hall here in Lapwai filling papers, its there," said Williamson.

Even while he is hard at work studying, practicing, or helping out in the community, Ron still has one goal in mind for him and his teammates this year.

"Keep pushing ourselves, keep our focus up, keep it there, and hope for next year to come better," said Williamson.

Ron will be back for his senior season to anchor the Wildcats defense.
