Gaskill makes big plays as Bengals running back

Tailback Lucky Gaskill.

LEWISTON, ID - The Lewiston Bengals started the season a little shaky, with losses to Post Falls and Lake City. But the purple and gold are holding on to their local win against rival Clarkston. A standout from that game, tailback Lucky Gaskill, caught two touchdown passes.

"This year, putting me as wide receiver, I've been getting open more, I've been getting the ball, making bigger plays," said Gaskill.

Gaskill has moved around the offensive line quite a bit, from linebacker to safety and now wide receiver. But Lucky said he doesn't mind, he's always loved to be out on the gridiron.

"I started in 4th grade with Clearwater football and just kind of played running back there," said Gaskill. "It's just always been the sport I've been best at, the sport I find funnest to play."

And he certainly makes it look fun. In the battle with the Bantams, Lucky completed two touchdown passes for a total of 164 yards receiving. But he doesn't take all the credit, he said he wouldn't be where he is without an amazing team.

"I was just on a deep route, I didn't have that many catches, but they were all pretty deep passes and they were good throws by Cole," said Gaskill.
