Reports: Mike Leach accepts WSU head football coach job

PULLMAN, WA - Multiple reports have emerged that former Texas Tech head coach Mike Leach has verbally committed to take the open job at Washington State Unversity.

Vince Grippi, a writer for the Spokesman-Review news paper in Spokane, Wash., tweeted that Leach had been offered Wednesday afternoon.

CBS sports writer Bruce Feldman also tweeted a similar message.

Feldman has a relationship with Leach and helped write the former Texas Tech coach's book, "Swing Your Sword."

The news has yet to be confirmed by Washington State, however there are multiple unconfirmed reports Leach is at the WSU campus in Pullman. It appears very possible the Pirate could be loose on the Palouse very soon.
