AKRON - Former Lewis-Clark State baseball player Beau Mills has been charged with felony assault, stemming from his role in an altercation outside an Ohio nightclub earlier this month.

Theodore Zeman III told police that Mills and two of his teammates assaulted him outside a bar back on June 3rd.

Akron police lieutenant Rick Edwards said 25-year-old Zeman spent at least two days in the hospital after sustaining a punctured lung and rib fractures in the brawl.

Mills, who set the NAIA single-season homerun record as a member of the Warriors back in 2007, pleaded not guilty Friday in Akron Municipal Court.
