LEWISTON - After the Lewiston Bengals swept Lake City last Saturday, they looked to do the same against Moscow as the Bears opened up their regular season at Church Field Wednesday.

Early on, the Bengals had trouble shaking of the rust. Then Glade Grunenfelder, singled on to left field and put the Bengals up 1 to 0.

As for the Bears - things were a little more difficult as they handed out free passes to Johnny Rake, who was walked and brought in Zach Holley. As a result the Bengals went up 2-0.

Still in the first inning, Casey Knigge hit a double out to right field and gave the Bengals a 3-0 advantage.

Pitcher Sam Rogers ended the game as Lewiston went on to defeat the Bears 6-1.
