Bantam teams are done, Pullman has shot at 4th place

YAKIMA - In Yakima, the Washington 2-A state basketball tournament continued Friday with the Clarkston girls team facing elimination against East Valley.

In the first, Yasamin Mohsenian hit from the corner. She led the Red Devils with 16 points.

For Clarkston, Kellie McCann-Smith stole the show once again. The Nebraska Cornerhusker commit hit for a game-high 26.

Stephanie Gilchrist had 12.

However, in the end, it wasn't enough. Clarkston was eliminated from the tournament, falling 66-52.

Thursday night the Pullman girls were also in action against River Ridge.

Early on, Danielle Hodge dumped down to Jordan Levenseller who hit the turnaround in the lane. Levenseller had 16 points and 7 'boards.

In the end River Ridge was too much. They win 59-47.

The girls returned to the court Friday afternoon in a loser-out game against Eatonville. They won 71-46 and will play for fourth place Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

The Clarkston Bantam boys needed a win to keep their season alive against Mount Baker. Unfortunately, they couldn't come up with it. The Bantams lost 70-64, finishing the season 17-8.
