Clarkston would strike early in the opening quarter as junior Colby Hansen gets into the endzone. With the score now 7-0 Bantams, in the second quarter it would be Hansen again. This time however, he does it on the defensive end as he brings down Medical Lake's quarterback for the sack.
With just over 20 second remaining before the half, Medical Lake would try to get on the board. They attempt throwing one up, only to be picked off by senior Nick Rimmelspacher. Rimmelspacher comes up big with a record tying 8th career high pick.
Senior quarterback Brady Arnone also comes up big as he airs one out to Taylor Marshall who comes down with it. The 81-yard play did little to wake up the Cardinal defense.
The Cardinals offense would come back with a touchdown of their own to make in 14-6 in the third.
In the fourth, Ethan Fox takes Clarkston down to the red zone. Even with an offensive mistake the Cardinals would only prolong the inevitable.
After the Bantams get the ball back, Hansen rips off a 30-yard touchdown run to give his team a little breathing room. With the deficit cut to 8, Dustin McConnell seal the game with a pick of his own.
The Bantams defeat Medical Lake 21-13, and will be going on the playoffs.
