Twins Head Coach Tom Grunenfelder says his team is clicking at the right time.

LEWISTON - Harris Field will be busy with baseball all this weekend.

The L-C Twins are riding a nine-game winning streak going into the Dwight Church invitational. Teams are coming from Boise, Spokane, Missoula, and the Seattle Area. It's the first home tournament for the Twins and they are looking to protect their home turf.

"Two of the teams that we play this weekend were over in Missoula, and we beat both of them," said Twin catcher Tim Kerr.

The Twins stumbled out of the gate, to a 5-5 start this season. Kerr said when the bats started to turn around, so did everything else.

"Well, we started off a little rusty carrying over from the high school season," said Kerr. "Now we're on a pretty good run, nine in a row. Hopefully we'll keep that going."

"I think patience at the plate offensively we still need to work on, getting a good pitch to hit every time up," Head Coach Tom Grunenfelder said. "Not taking innings off defensively and not giving up the big inning But besides that, we've been pretty solid the last week and a half."

Coach Grunenfelder said the tournament field here is pretty deep, especially with the Select team from western Washington. But he also said the Twins are hard to beat when everything's clicking.

"I think when we play our kind of game and play hard, and work hard and don't take an inning off, we're a pretty good baseball club.")
