Cougs' shooting led to victory over Fresno State

PULLMAN, WA - WSU hosted Fresno State for a Sunday afternoon match-up in Pullman.

Fresno State shot only 26% in the second half while the Cougs shot 47.8%, leading to their 59-50 win over the Bulldogs. Mike Ladd had a season high 19 points. Brock Motum scored 23, many of those coming in the last 14 minutes of the first half, where Motum put every point on the board for the Cougs, something he didn't even realize until the post game press conference.

"If I'm in the position to score, I'm gonna score," said Motum. "And if I've got two or three guys then I'm gonna look to other guys to try and score. I guess that's just how it happened today and I'll continue to be aggressive like I always am."

WSU is now 6-4 on the season. Their next game is Thursday at home against Jackson State.
