MOSCOW, ID - As Paul Petrino gets settled in at Idaho, rumors are starting fly about who will be a part of his staff.

One thing is certain, former interim head coach Jason Gesser will no longer be a part of the Vandal program. Gesser said he tried to stay but Petrino has decided to go another direction. As of right now, Lewiston native and former Idaho linebacker Mike Anderson, who most recently worked as a graduate assistant at Washington, will join the staff as a linebackers coach. Bryce Erickson, son of former Idaho coach Dennis Erickson, will also join Petrino's staff. The new Vandals head coach reassures his players that as excited as they need to be for next year, the coaches need to be on the same level.

"We're gonna coach each other," said Petrino. "We're gonna get up and go through our drill books, and make sure we make each other better coaches. Ya know, we're gonna stress to our players that they have got to go out on the field with a great attitude and a great fire and great passion, but we have to make sure we do that to each other as coaches."

Gesser is not sure what his next step will be but Erickson is expected to arrive in Moscow on Thursday and will likely be headed to California for recruiting as early as Friday.
