MOSCOW, ID - The Vandals may have lost a big piece of their football team a few weeks ago, but seemed to have filled that void pretty easily.

When last year's leading receiver Dezmon Epps was dismissed from the team a few weeks ago, University of Idaho running back Richard Montgomery decided to do whatever it takes to help his team win, and moved to wide receiver. Montgomery, who may be the most versatile player on the team, had 196 yards and two touchdowns in the running game last season while pulling in 14 receptions for 176 yards through the air. The position change was an easy one for him.

"I adjust pretty well," said Montgomery. "It's like my everyday position, I go to the wide receiver meetings. so I'm probably like a full time receiver now and half-time running back. I'm just trying to do whatever I can to make my team be successful."

Montgomery and the Vandals went full pads for the first time this fall Thursday and will scrimmage Saturday morning at ten.
