Broncos defeat Huskies in Maaco Las Vegas Bowl
PULLMAN, WA - Bronco nation is still buzzing about Saturday's exciting 28-26 win over Washington in the Vegas bowl.

While the offense has been improving all season, it was the defense that sealed Saturday's win.

Joe Southwick and the Broncos offense had arguably one of their best performances of the season. Then of course there is Michael Frisina's kick to give BSU the go-ahead score but it was clutch plays by the defense, highlighted by Jamar Taylor and Jeremy Jone's game ending interception that shut down the Huskies hopes of a comeback and gave the Broncos their third straight Maaco Bowl title.

Following the game Head Coach Chris Petersen talked about the resilience of his entire squad and senior JC Percy said going out as four -time bowl champs is something pretty special.

"It's been a hard season, but what's been really satisfying is going to practice with these guys," said Petersen. "They don't go through the motions. That always makes ya feel good because I think sometimes we take that for granted around here. They may have had even more of a chip on their shoulder just because of all the other circumstances surrounding this program."

"It was a great way to end it, ya know especially with a win and to be able to go out with all these seniors as bowl champions, as four time bowl champions," said Boise Linebacker Percy. "I think it's great and I'm so proud to be a part of this program."

The number 20 Broncos ended their season strong with an overall record of 11-2.
