LEWISTON, ID - Well it sure took long enough, but the NAIA is finally starting to see that our local college baseball team is pretty good.

The Lewis-Clark State College baseball team rose one spot to number two in the NAIA Coaches' Top-25 poll on Tuesday. The 28-5 Warriors are currently on a ten-game winning streak, earned five of the 21 available first-place votes, and 567 overall points in the poll, which is ten points behind the new number one team, Oklahoma Baptist.

Faulkner, who has been at the one spot all season and was last year's NAIA national champion, dropped to number three after a couple losses over the past week, and they're now tied with Missouri Baptist.

The Warriors head out on the road this week to take on Simpson University in Redding, California on Saturday and Sunday.
