U of I freshman is FBS Player of the Year
MOSCOW, ID - Idaho football had a rough year, but one player really stood out to the nation.

University of Idaho freshman punter/kicker Austin Rehkow was chosen as the FBS Independent Special Teams Player of the Year. With the player of the year honor comes first-team recognition, where Rehkow is joined by fellow Vandal, junior receiver. Dezmon Epps.

Rehkow averaged an NCAA-leading 47.8 yards, which set an NCAA freshman record for a single-season punting average as well as an FBS mark for players who punted at least 75 times during the season.
