What was an X-Games gold medalist doing in the LC Valley?
LEWISTON, ID - It's not very often we get to see a professional motocross rider here in the valley.

But we did on Friday as Australia's own Jackson Strong was in town to try out a local company's new snow bikes. Strong is a two-time, X-Games gold medalist as a freestyle motocross rider and was at Lewiston's Supreme Power Sports showing off the cool new toys.

The shop, which has been in town for about eight months, has joined forces with Frozen Moto Industries and held an open house to promote their shops' and the new snow bikes, which are a combination of a dirt-bike and a snowmobile. Strong has enjoyed his brief time here in the valley.

"I've come to Lewiston today to check out the Frozen Moto X Snowbikes and I'm heading down to McCall tomorrow to do some testing and see if these things are gonna work for freestyle," said Pro Freestyle Motocross Rider, Jackson Strong. "They're looking pretty promising in the free style and enduroworld so, I don't know, it might be something people can do when the ground's snowed over."

"Oh yeah, it's been great," said Frozen Moto Industries Owner, Dan Shannahan. "We had some people asking about it so the information's getting out there and it's working and just more community awareness and raising brand awareness to this awesome sport in the northwest."

Strong was in McCall Saturday, getting footage for his movie 'Headstrong' which should be released in about three months.
