A new approach to recruiting for the local scouting program
LEWISTON, ID - The LCSC Warriors baseball team has already started their scouting, but in this case, their starting a lot younger than usual.

Thursday night at Harris Field we saw the LCSC night of scouting, which was a first time valley recruitment for cub scouts and boy scouts. The little guys and their parents came to the great field where the Warriors play to meet some of the players, enjoy some pizza, and actually get on the field with the players to bat, field, and play a mock game! The scouts were hoping to welcome many recruits during this big event, not only to keep the LC Valley chapter strong, but to help these boys on the right path in life.

"Scouting is a wonderful program to build the character of boys and give them some leadership skills and just help them be better people and that's what our country needs right now,” said Boy Scouts District Director Marlene Schaefer. “I’m really excited. We've been putting it together for several months now and we just hope the boys have a lot of fun. That's the main thing."
