Coach Leach said two-third of the game was played well.
PULLMAN, WA - It was chilly October night as the Washington State Cougars took on the Oregon State Beavers for Dad's Weekend.

The cougs started off the first half of the game strong. A perfect example of that right here as Anthony Carpenter just takes that touchdown away from the Beavs with a beautiful interception.

But the tables turned in the second half. Quarterback Connor Halliday threw interception after interception totaling three picks for the game. There was hope for the Cougs at one point in the game to get that w. A clean pass here from Halliday to Kristoff Williams.

We're at first and goal and Marcus Mason drives it into the end zone. But the Cougs just couldn't snag a win this weekend. Head coach Mike Leach said he thought Halliday and the team gave up after the half.

"I thought he gave in," said Leach. "I thought that we had adversity and it certainly wasn't just Connor. I thought we came out storming in the third quarter, two-thirds of the game we played about as well as we can play and then the last third, we faced adversity and waved the white flag."

Your final is Oregon state 52 to WSU 24. The Cougs play in Eugene this Saturday to take on the University of Oregon.
