WSU hosts round 1 in 2013 NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Championship
PULLMAN, WA - Sticking with the Cougs, yesterday brought their soccer team some well deserved news.

That's the sound of some happy ladies as the Washington State University Women's Soccer team heard their team being announced to host a round one match-up in the 2013 NCAA Division 1 Women's Soccer Championship this Saturday.

The Cougs, who went 14-3 on the season, will host Illinois this Saturday. It will be the first time the Cougs have hosted a post-season match since 2000. Head Coach Keidane McAlpine is proud of his team.

"Well first of all, I'm just glad that we're in," said McAlpine. "We're solidified, I thought the team did a great job of proving the fact that they should be in and hosting was the goal and here we are, hosting Illinois."

The Cougars will take on the 10-8 Illinois squad with a scheduled 1p.m. kickoff at home this Saturday. Get out there and support your Cougs.
