SEATTLE, WA – This past Saturday the annual Seattle Game was held at CenturyLink Field with Washington State hosting the Oregon Ducks, and for at least one half of football, it was gearing up to be a memorable one.

In the second quarter, Connor Halliday connected with Brett Bartolone on a 26-yard pass and the Cougs went into halftime trailing the number two team in the country 23-19.

In the second half, it was Oregon’s speed that got the better part of Washington State as the Ducks pulled off the 51-26 victory.

Following the game, Washington State head coach Mike Leach said the score was not reflective of how his team performed.

“I felt like this game we played a complete game,” said Leach. “We battled to the finish. There’s a lot of things that weren’t pretty and some of it we’ve just got to polish and just get better at.”

Another ranked Oregon team is next up for WSU. This Saturday in Corvallis the Cougs will take 14th ranked Oregon State.
