Newly hired Vandals Head Coach has big plans for football program
MOSCOW, ID - Former Arkansas Offensive Coordinator Paul Petrino has been hired as the new vandals head coach.

A press conference was held Monday to introduce the new coach and he has big plans for the Vandal program. Having produced some of the most prolific offenses in the nation as an assistant coach, the Vandals feel he will be a good fit as they start their rebuilding process. Petrino has 21 years of college coaching experience and returns to Idaho where he was an assistant with his brother Bobby Petrino in the nineties.

"It's just something that I've trained for my whole life," said Petrino. "I'm really proud and privileged to be here and I can give you my word that I'll do everything in my every last bit of energy, every last bit of anything that I have in my body, I'll do to make sure that the Vandal family is back at the top."

Petrino has already started to build his staff. He said he has verbal commitments from some, while is still working on others but hopes to have names available by the end of the week. The state board of education must now approve his three-year contract with an annual base salary of $390,000 with increases of $10,000 for each year.
