MOSCOW, ID – If you look at the final score between Idaho and LSU, the 63-14 finish is what most expected. But sometimes you can’t judge a book by its cover.

In the first half, the Vandals hung in tough with the number two ranked team in the country and went in a halftime down by only two scores.

While there are many positives that can be taken away from that game,
Idaho head coach Robb Akey said the bottom line is about the end result.

“There are things we can learn from in there, you bet,” said Akey. “Did I have some guys that battled their tails off till they couldn’t any longer, yes. I think that shows us a little something we can build from. You play games for 60-minutes and that’s the only thing that matters.”

Next up for the Vandals - another team that’s 0-3 on the season - is the Wyoming Cowboys this Saturday at 2pm in the Kibbie Dome.
