Vandals defeat WAC rival Utah State
MOSCOW, ID - The Vandal men's basketball team 57-54 win over Utah State on Saturday night, was not only a thrilling finish, but what many consider a huge win for the program.

After trailing most of the game, Idaho picked up steam with under five minutes to play to pull off the three point win over the WAC powerhouse Aggies. Head coach Don Verlin says it was a huge confidence booster.

"When you beat those guys it's a huge win, four time defending champions." said Verlin. "Hopefully we gain some confidence from making plays in the last five minutes of that game and it carries on throughout the season."

With confidence on their side, Idaho hosts another WAC rival, that being San Jose State, this Thursday in the Cowan Spectrum. Tip-off is scheduled for 7:05pm.
