LC Valley Loggers potential players perform various drills
LEWISTON, ID - College football in the L-C Valley took another big step to becoming a reality on Monday.

The L-C Valley Loggers held their first combine in the Vollmer Bowl on Monday afternoon. According to coaches, probably about half the number of total athletes the team will carry were present on this cloudy day, where players were tested with various drills such as the 40-yard dash and shuttle run. The players would later participate in some organized football drills as well...the man behind the loggers was pumped for day one!

"It's extremely exciting to see this come into fruition," said LC Valley Loggers Director Bob Thorson. "It's been in the planning stages, we've been doing a lot of recruiting, we've talked to a lot of players, but now they're coming to town. We're getting them on the field, we're getting to see what they can do. They're meeting each other, they're meeting with us. It's nice to really see the ball rolling now."

The Loggers will be having a spaghetti feed fundraiser this Saturday in the Nez Perce County Fairgrounds Red Barn from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Come enjoy all you can eat spaghetti while helping out your new local college football team.
