MOSCOW, ID - A deserving Vandal's assistant is taking a step up in the coaching ranks.

Idaho Women's Basketball Assistant Coach Christa Sanford was promoted to Associated Head Coach on Wednesday. Sanford helps with the day-to-day coaching of the Idaho guards, including Stacey Barr, who was named the 'Western Athletic Conference Player of the Year' and tournament MVP in 2014.

Off the court, Sanford monitors the team academics and community service, organizes the program's summer camps and helps run scout on opponents. Her new roles will include coordinating recruiting while continuing to work with the guards and run scout.
