Playing Gonzaga was good experience for the LCSC Warriors
LEWISTON, ID - The undefeated LCSC men took on number 12 Gonzaga Thursday night in Spokane and the results were humbling.
Having there best start in program history of 9-0, the Warriors went into this game having confidence but the Bulldogs were too much for the Warriors to handle as the Bulldogs ran past the Warriors for a 104-57 victory .
Lewis Clark State had a definite size disadvantage, having no player taller than 6 foot 6 which didn't help against a Gonzaga roster with four players 6-8 or taller. Junior Guard Robert Ellis said despite the loss, playing Gonzaga was a good experience for the Warriors.
"We learned out to compete at the division one level," said Ellis. "It's a few steps above where we are now so playing with that type of emotion and energy was like, that was a good learning experience for us."
The Warriors head to College Place Saturday to take on Walla Walla for the second time this season. Game time is set for 6p.m.
