Motum named candidate for John R. Wooden Award

PULLMAN, WA - WSU men's basketball Senior Brock Motum has been named one of 50 pre-season candidates for the John R. Wooden Award.
The award is given the nation's best collegiate basketball player who is on track to graduate and has maintained a cumulative 2.0 GPA. Motum was named All-Pac-12 First Team and the leagues Most Improved Player his junior year when he led the Cougars and the Pac-12 with 18 points per game. He ranks fifth on WSU's single season list for scoring with 613 which he accomplished in the 2011-2012 season. Motum is the second Cougar in three seasons to make the list.
