LEWISTON, ID - Basketball season is just getting started but local Lewiston High School standout Karlee Wilson is already excited for next season.

The 5' 4" guard signed her official letter of intent Wednesday to join the Idaho Women's Basketball team in 2013. Wilson has led the Bengals to their last two consecutive Class 5-A State Championships.

Wilson said when she went on her campus visit to Idaho, she already felt like part of the team. And one of her coaches that has been with her for the last five years couldn't be more proud.

"She's a national caliber player," said AAU Coach Steve Klees. "It's a very very good get for the University of Idaho I'll tell ya that. It means a lot to me. I'll get to see her, she's close to home."

"I knew I always wanted to play college basketball, but I never knew where," said Wilson. "Once I visited I knew, I knew right when I left that was where I wanted to go."

Wilson said she still has this year to focus on, but can't wait to experience playing at the collegiate level.
