Lewiston 12U All-Stars Baseball team determined to make L-C history
LEWISTON, ID - Last week it was the girls, and now it's time for the boys to step to the plate.

The Lewiston 12-U All-Stars Baseball team were in full practice mode Monday as they prepare for the trip of a lifetime. Like the 12-U girl's softball team you heard about last week, this team consists of the best baseball players from area Little League teams as they hope to eventually make it all the way to Williamsport, Pennyslvania for the coveted Little League World Series.

The team has been tearing it up, having gone 7-0 in districts and then winning the state title this last weekend. With the title, the team will be headed to San Bernardino, California for the west regional and a chance to make it to the coveted World Series.

Head Coach Ryan Shoults is not only excited to see his awesome team in action against the best, but also excited to go home for a moment.

"Growing up down there, I kind of, was always a dream of mine to play in that stadium which I never had the opportunity to do," said Shoults. "My oldest son and nephew played there three years ago, they were the first time to make it down there and have the chance for my son to make it down there is pretty special. They want to win, they're determined to make it to the next level. They don't give up. They're a good group of kids."

The team leaves to California on Wednesday, July 30th, and will hold a fundraiser this Sunday at Pioneer Park from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. which will include a silent auction and other fantastic events. Head over and help this team reach the regionals and hopefully, the World Series.
