LEWISTON, ID - The Lewis Clark State women's basketball team can finally breath a sigh of relief.
Away on a road-trip over the holiday weekend, the Warrior women dropped their first two games to Southern Oregon and Oregon Tech before recording their first win of the season defeating Simpson 83-68.
Head coach Brian Orr said things were going right and the ball was falling for them. He said the win takes a lot of pressure off of his team as well as gives them a little confidence boost.
"They work so hard and they haven't given up and everyday they get out and compete and honestly they get better everyday I was really happy for them," said Orr. "It really felt like we had just won a championship."
The women will be home all week in preparation to head off to Oregon again on Friday for a second shot against New Hope Christian.
