LCSC men’s basketball coach hopes for a high tempo offense this season
LEWISTON, ID - It's hard to believe but basketball season is upon us.

The Lewis-Clark State College men's and women's teams held the annual basketball news conference Monday. Both coaches laid out what they're facing this season.

Let's start with the men's team, the LCSC men had one of the most successful season's in the programs history last year, winning the first 18 games of the season and being ranked number three in the nation. They went on to be conference champs and make a trip to the NAIA National Tournament as the number five seed.

This year, Head Coach Brandon Rinta hopes a high tempo offense will help them get to the tournament again.

"The style of play looking at being able to push the basketball that this team is definitely going to be able to do that a little bit better than maybe the previous two teams," said Rinta.

The LCSC men will have their season opener at home this Friday, against the University of Alberta-Augustana at 7:00 p.m.
