MOSCOW, ID - Idaho Vandals running backs coach Jason Gesser, who has been with the team less than a year, has been named the Scout/FoxSportsNext recruiter of the year for the Western Athletic Conference.

Gesser's efforts, along with those of newly appointed recruiting coordinator Torey Hunter, helped Idaho land the top spot in the WAC. Scout.com gave Idaho's 2012 recruiting class the number one spot in the conference after signing 23 players to National Letters of Intent last week. Three of the 23 players signed last week are already on campus. The Vandals will open spring drills on March 22nd and conclude with the annual Silver and Gold Game on April 20th.
