Excitement was evident at the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers first meeting

Excitement was evident at the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers first meeting
LEWISTON, ID - I've said it before and I wasn't lying, football is coming back to the L-C Valley.

The first meeting for the Lewis-Clark Valley Loggers was held Thursday night at LCSC for prospective players, coaches, and anyone who just wanted to find out a little more information about the impending college team.

The Loggers will be a collegiate team that will play in the Northwest Junior College Football League, and team President Bob Thorson as well as Head Coach Jeff Schumaker gave a basic rundown of information about the team, though many details are still being sorted. The Loggers will play in the Northwest Junior College Football League, and will require athletes to be attending LCSC or Walla Walla Community College in Clarkston, though the team will have no affiliation with either. Excitement was evident in the players!

"I'm just so excited that football is actually back here and back in this hometown," said LC Loggers Receiver, Connor Imel. "And I know LC's known for baseball but I'm excited that it's finally gonna be a football town now."

"Oh it's exciting just for the whole area around here," said LC Loggers Quarterback Safety, Kyle Snyder. "There's a lot of talent around here and there's not a football team like this around here and I think it will be a good team and it's exciting for the whole community."

Though we're a ways away from the Loggers actually getting on a practice field, we should have a few more answers to any and all Logger questions during their next meeting sometime in January.
