ESPN purchases Idaho Potato Bowl game
LEWISTON, ID - The college bowl game named for arguably Idaho's greatest export now has a new owner.

ESPN will take over ownership of the famous Idaho Potato Bowl after a six-year agreement was reached with the Mid-American and Mountain West Conferences. This will give the network ownership of eight of the current 30 non-bcs bowl games.

The famous Idaho Potato Bowl Game had been affiliated with the Western Athletic Conference since 2001 until the WAC disbanded as a football program after the 2012 season.

The bowl game is played in Boise at Bronco Stadium and will be played this year on December 21st.
