PULLMAN, WA - It's the time Cougar fans have been waiting for as new head coach Mike Leach put in place his new system with the start of spring ball.

Those familiar with Leach know he brings a high-flying brand of offense, which takes a special breed of quarterback. Leach breaks down what that special something is he is looking for out of Cougar QB's Jeff Tuel and Connor Halliday.

"A quarterback by definition, no matter what your package is, his role is to make the other players around him better." said Leach. "You know there's a little bit of intangible in who does that the most effectively."

Leach mentioned that he will start out by giving Tuel and Halliday 50-50 splits on taking the snaps with the first team offense.
