LEWISTON - After speculation arose Wednesday that Lewiston High School had settled on their new boys head basketball coach, Thursday we found out that rumor is now a reality.

LHS was looking to replace Dave Cornelia who resigned after eight seasons at the helm of the Bengals. The school chose to go out of state to nab their new leader.

Sources says Corey Williams , who was Coach of the Year last season at Churchill County High School in Nevada, will return to the area in which he was raised to fill the coaching vacancy.

It's still unknown when Williams will join the team that is currently in the middle of their summer workout schedule.

Despite the fact Lewiston has been to state each of the last eight years, Williams will have his work cut out from him. Ten of the twelve players on last year's 5A state championship team graduated.
