LEWISTON - Just over a year after leading the Lewis-Clark State baseball team to their 16th national title, Lewiston native Kyle Greene is now one step away from achieving every boy's dream of playing in the big leagues.

Tuesday night Greene made his debut at the Triple-A classification with the Reno Aces. Facing the Tacoma Rainiers, Greene pinch-hit in the 8th inning, flying out to right field.

The Lewiston native got the call to move up after hitting .236 with eight homeruns and 51 RBIs in advanced season A-ball this year.

His father, Tom Greene, talked about his son's latest success.

"To me, it really speaks volumes of what they must think of him and his potential," said Tom Greene. "I know he goes in early and he hits extra. I think his hard work is finally paying for him. You can't describe it. His mother, I don't know if she's slept for two days. And his grandparents are just as wound up too."
