MOSCOW - UI-graduate Eddie Williams has agreed to a rookie contract with the Washington Redskins, after they selected him in the 7th round of April's draft.

Williams, who was listed as a tight end in college, led the Vandals as a receiver last year, with 54 catches- for 687 yards, and six touchdowns. Williams suffered a knee ligament injury last November and was sidelined for the Redskins' off-season mini-camp and OTAs.
He is expected to be healthy for the start of training camp.

Williams will compete for a roster spot against undrafted free agent Jonathan Evans and the incumbent starter Mike Sellers.
