Cougars are going to need to up their scoring to beat Oregon State
PULLMAN, WA - Yet another big test for the cougars is coming up as we dive deeper into conference play.

The Oregon State Beavers will bring their 10-7 record to Pullman to take on the 8-10 Washington State Cougar Men Wednesday night. The Beavers are coming off a big win against a very good Oregon team last Sunday, improving their conference record to 2-3. As for the Cougs, they have an uphill battle as their conference record is at 1-5. One of the biggest strengths the Beavers possess is their 494 field goal percentage, which ranks them ninth in the country. Cougs Head Coach Ken Bone knows he will have his hands full.

"Well, we're gonna have to play a really great game,” said Bone. “Oregon State's coming off a really good win against Oregon; they've shown that they can really score from a lot of different positions. We've shown so far that we're having a hard time scoring so we're gonna have to do a good job on one end scoring the ball, we've gotta be able to score points, and at this point we're averaging 49 points a game in conference, and that won't beat too many teams."

Hopefully the Cougs can up that scoring average against Oregon State's 78-points-per-game when they tip off Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m.
