Expectations are high for the girls headed to San Bernardino, California.
LEWISTON, ID - The best local little ladies of the diamond have a huge trip coming up as they look to make the L-C Valley proud.

The twelve and under Lewiston All Stars warm up at Airport Park as they prepare to take part in a three-day softball tournament put on by the American Softball Association. This team consists of the best of the best from various L-C valley little league teams, and were put together with one goal in mind...win the World Series.

In just a few days, the little ladies will be headed off to San Bernardino, California to compete in the Western Regional Tournament, where the winner will head to Oregon to take on the rest of earth at the Little League World Series. Expectations are high for this squad!

"Our expectation is to win it, we've got the girls to do it, obviously, if that happens, it happens," said Lewiston All Stars Head Coach Chad Richardson. "Obviously you set a goal and that's what you want to do, but we've got a great group of girls, they're working really hard. We're practicing three hours a day, and they're really putting it in so I'm proud of them for doing that, so no matter what, you're there, but we think we can do some damage down in California."

On a side note, the team will be having a fundraiser at Pioneer Park this Sunday (7/13) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. which will include a silent auction and free BBQ. So please come out and help support our local All Star team as they hopefully represent Idaho in the Little League World Series!
