MOSCOW - Trying to shake off the first game jitters, Moscow played Coeur d'Alene, one of the best 5A teams in the state.

It was a rough start for Moscow. Down 8-0, Coeur d'Alene's Jake Matheson races 30-yards to paydirt.

Justin Parkins was the lone bright spot for the Bears. The senior went over 100-yards rushing.

Moscow falls 42-19.

OROFINO - Down river, Orofino played host to McCall-Donnelly.

An 85-yard kickoff return was the lone score for the Maniacs.

The Vandals won 16-6.

GENESEE - Hosting Lapwai on Friday, the Genesee Bulldogs stormed out to a big lead, 44-8.

Genesee senior Tyler Stout rushed for over 100-yards.

Another Bulldog senior, Alan Berry, was also unstoppable. He hooked up with junior Sam Druffel seven times for 103 yards and three scores.

Genesee won 52-8.

NEZPERCE - Earlier Friday, Clearwater Valley and Lewis County were in action for the very first game of the year.

Lewis County came back to take that game 20-14.
